Predoctoral Researcher
Paleoprimatology & Paleoantropology Research Group
Graduated in Biology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Later, I studied a Master of Science (MSc) in Biological Anthropology at tje UAB and Universitat de Barcelona, with the thesis "Morphology of the scapular glenoid cavity: influence of the glenoid labrum in the morphology of the glenoid cavity and its locomotion and evolutionary implications."
I am currently a PhD student in the group of Paleoprimatology and Paleoanthropology of the Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont, under the direction of Dr. Salvador Moyà-Solà, Dr. David M. Alba, and Dr. Júlia Arias-Martorell. My thesis is funded by the "Agencia Estatal de Investigación" through "Ayudas para Contratos Predoctorales para la Formación de Doctores" (FPI), funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and FSE+.
In my project, entitled "The evolutionary history of the hominoid ulna: quantitative morphology, internal bone structure, and paleobiological inferences in Miocene primates", I study the functional morphology of the ulna in extant catarrhine primates and Miocene fossils to make paleobiological inferences focused on locomotion and postural behavior of fossil species and explore the evolutionary history of the hominoids.
