Joan Oró grants for the recruitment of PhD candidates (FI)
Convnening entity: Agència de Gestió d'Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca (AGAUR)
- These grants are addressed to universities, research centres and hospital foundations in Catalonia to hire and train early career researchers who carry out their doctoral studies within the Catalan university system.
- These are 3-year grants that cover the recruiting costs for PhD candidates, as well as the doctoral tuition fees. Beneficiaries also receive a supplementary grant of 3,000 euros for training activities and research stays.
- Applicants must have passed the studies to access the doctoral programme and certify an average grade for undergraduate studies equal or greater than 6.5 points.
- Thesis supervisors must be part of the staff of the entity recipient of the grant and must be principal investigators or members of a research project, contract or agreement.
- The FI beneficiary entities are responsible for assessing and prioritizing the applications according to their scientific policy.
